P&F NEWS

What a great turn out  we had for our first meeting. Thank you to all those who attended. We hope to see you again and are looking forward to an exciting year.

We can now confirm that the Vice President for the P&F Executive is Kristie Di Nella, and our Board Representative is Nicole Mammone. We are so looking forward to having you both on board and thank you.

                                                                                  Events for Term 1 2018: Save the dates

Wednesday 21 March To kick off the start of the Footy Season we are having “Free Dress Day,” for a Gold coin donation. Students can wear the colours of their favourite sports team. They will also receive an Icy pole YAY! So this is a day they won’t want to miss!

Wednesday 4 April Uniform Swap Meet Morning

Yes! After the success last year, we are holding this event again. More info to follow shortly.

Friday 13 April:  This is the big one which I’m sure the kids will have a blast at our “Colour Fun Run”. Information to follow shortly. Stay tuned!

We will be needing parent volunteers for the “Colour Fun Run” which will be held in the afternoon on Friday 13 April.  If you can assist please contact me at president.pafc@gmail.com

Sub Committees

As you will remember the P&F  has four sub-committees which parents are welcome to join at any time.  They are:

  • Fundraising Committee 
  • Social Committee 
  • IJ Care 
  • Parent Education 

Thank you to those who have already offered to be on these committees, it would be great to see some more parents come on board. We would love to hear some new ideas and suggestions.

Fundraising Committee:

The fundraising committee will be having there first meeting on Thursday 1 March, 7pm at Fast Eddys.  All welcome, we will be planning our “Colour Run” so would love some input and ideas. See you there!

MAD (Mother & Daughter) CAMP  

MAD Camp registrations have now closed.  Thank you to all those that have registered. Your final balance owing is due by 9 March 2018.  Booklets and information regarding the Camp will following shortly. Thank You.

FAMILY CAMP

We are looking for Family Camp coordinators for 2018. This Camp is usually held on the last weekend of September.  It would be a shame to see this long standing tradition come to an end. INFANT JESUS NETBALL

The 2018 Netball season is almost here. This year students from Year 2 through to Year 6 can participate. If your child, boy or girl, is considering playing this year fees will be $205 per child. Training will commence in Week 7 of Term 1 (12th March) at the school netball courts from 3.15 to 4.15pm. Training days for each year group will be confirmed once teams and coaches have been finalised.

We are also looking for coaches and helpers for each team. If you are interested please contact Hien.

Games are played every Saturday at Noranda Netball Courts and start times vary between 8.30am to 1pm (games are one hour). This will be confirmed once fixtures are out. In the past, the younger years (Years 3 and 4) played at 8.30am and the older years (Years 5 and 6) played the later times. The first official game will be on Saturday 5th of May. The netball season runs from Saturday 5th May to Saturday 25th August.

The school sports uniform is the official Infant Jesus Netball Club uniform. The shoes however, can be any appropriate non marking sport shoes.

Netball registrations will be online via My Netball WA website and further information on registration will follow soon.

INFANT JESUS SOCCER CLUB

Welcome back to a new school year, and welcome back to a new season of Aldi Miniroos soccer. Registrations are now open for the Infant Jesus Soccer Club in this year’s Football West competition. Miniroos is a great way to introduce children to soccer but more importantly, it provides an opportunity for kids to be active with their school friends.  More details on the Miniroos competition is available at www.miniroos.com.au

Registration must be completed through Football West at www.myfootballclub.com.au.  (Registration and Payment Guide available from the club).

Our Information Day will be held on Sunday 25 February at 10.00am at Emberson Reserve.

Season:  The season starts on the 8 April and runs through to September.

Training commences: Tuesday 13 March 5.00pm – 6:00pm (5’s, 6’s & 7s)

Tuesday 27 February 5.00pm – 6.30pm (8’s and above)

Game Day:  Games will be held around the Perth metro area on a Sunday morning

Home Ground:  Emberson Reserve (Emberson Road, Morley)

What to Bring:  Soccer Boots, Shin Pads and Socks.

Membership Fees:  Membership is $160 per season.

Uniforms: Sizing for uniforms will take place at the Information Day 25 February 2018.
